\u201cPromoting Direct Democracy for Strengthening Human Rights in Armenia\u201d project in cooperation with the \u201cArmenian Lawyers\u2019 Association\u201d NGO, and the \u201cArmenian Young Lawyers Association\u201d NGO, attaching importance to the continuous development of the professional knowledge and skills of the young lawyers, jointly organize the Republican Conference the \u201cRA National Strategy for the Protection of Human Rights: Prospects and Challenges\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Students of the 3rd and higher undergraduate and graduate courses of various faculties of higher educational institutions of the Republic of Armenia, as well as graduates of higher educational institutions under the age of 30 are allowed to participate in the Conference.<\/p>\n

The Conference is organized in two rounds: written and oral.\u00a0Participants who succeed in the written round of the Conference will be invited to the oral round.<\/p>\n

Interested individuals should\u00a0register\u00a0here\u00a0<\/a> (available in Armenian language)\u00a0by 25 July, inclusive,<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0send reports in the scope of directions listed below\u00a0by 3 August,<\/strong>\u00a0to the following e-mail address \u2013\u00a0info@armla.am<\/a>:<\/p>\n

  1. Right to life.\u00a0The problems of protection, the protection of the right to life of persons under the care of the state, as well as persons in life-threatening situations.<\/em><\/li>\n
  2. Prohibition of torture:\u00a0Substantive and judicial aspects.<\/em><\/li>\n
  3. Freedom of assembly and free expression of opinion:\u00a0Priorities and Challenges.<\/em><\/li>\n
  4. Social security and the right to work:\u00a0Priorities and challenges<\/em><\/li>\n
  5. Right to education:\u00a0Priorities and challenges.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The submitted reports, without disclosing the names of participants, will be provided to the report review team (judges) and the technical review staff at the written round of the Conference, who\u00a0will submit their assessment of the reports\u00a0on-line<\/strong> by 10 August, 2020<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    ATTENTION<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

    Five participants with the highest scores will be invited to participate in the\u00a0the oral round, where they will present their reports. The oral round of the conference will take place on\u00a014 August, 2020<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    All participants in the written and oral rounds of the Conference will be awarded with relevant certificates, and the three first to third place holders will be rewarded with gifts.<\/p>\n
