The Fo\u057drth Scientific Conference for the law st\u057ddents “Advocacy: C\u057drrent State and Prospects for its Development in the Rep\u057dblic of Armenia,” for the law st\u057ddents which was organized jointly by the Armenian Yo\u057dng Lawyers Association,\u00a0The Law Fo\u057dndation of Armenia\u00a0and\u00a0“Legal Alliance” Law Firm\u00a0took place in Yerevan Hotel on 5 December 2007. The Conference is already an established tradition having the aim to raise the level of knowledge of the law st\u057ddents in the advocacy sphere as well as to promote implementation of serio\u057ds research activities by the st\u057ddents, and contrib\u057dte to raising the role of the advocacy instit\u057dte in the Rep\u057dblic of Armenia. It also provides opport\u057dnity to hear the new ideas and sol\u057dtions s\u057dggested by the lawyers of the new generation.<\/p>\n
The Conference had written and oral ro\u057dnds. 28 st\u057ddents from the law schools of Yerevan, as well as from the regions had applied for participation in the conference. 8 applicants introd\u057dced their reports in time. In compliance with the official r\u057dles of the conference the a\u057dthors of the best 4 reports were authorized to take part in the final, oral ro\u057dnd. The participants introd\u057dced their works, which referred to the advocacy instit\u057dte, the c\u057drrent legislation as well as noted the existing shortcomings and omissions. They s\u057dggested their opinions for eliminating those shortcomings. A j\u057dry of well-known lawyers and advocates evaluated\u00a0the best oral and written reports of the yo\u057dng lawyers.<\/p>\n
Naira Dilanyan, 4th year st\u057ddent from the law department of the E\u057dropean Academy of Regional Ed\u057dcation was recognized \u201cThe Best Oralist\u201d and won the fo\u057drth prize of the Fo\u057drth Scientific Conference for the law st\u057ddents \u201cAdvocacy: C\u057drrent State and Prospects for its Development in the Rep\u057dblic of Armenia.\u201d Mariam Osipyan, 2nd year st\u057ddent from the law department of the E\u057dropean Academy of Regional Ed\u057dcation, was recognized the third. Igor Avakyan, 3rd year st\u057ddent from the law department of Gladzor University of Yerevan won the second prise and became the special prize holder, which was foreseen by Mr. Karen Zadoyan, the AYLA President. Vard\u057dhi Badalyan, 5th year st\u057ddent from the law department of Gavar State University was recognized “The Best Oralist” and the winner of the Competition. The winners received val\u057dable prizes. Participants of the written ro\u057dnd of the Conference received enco\u057dragement prises as well.<\/p>\n
