{"id":513,"date":"2011-12-11T18:43:21","date_gmt":"2011-12-11T18:43:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armla.am\/en\/?p=513"},"modified":"2016-07-01T10:42:32","modified_gmt":"2016-07-01T10:42:32","slug":"the-eighth-scientific-conference-advocacy-current-state-and-prospects-for-development-in-the-republic-of-armenia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armla.am\/en\/513.html","title":{"rendered":"The Eighth Scientific Conference \u201cAdvocacy: Current State and Prospects for Development in the Republic of Armenia\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify\">For already eight years AYLA continues organizing the traditional Scientific Conference for the law students \u201cAdvocacy: Current State and Prospects for Development in the Republic of Armenia\u201d for the law students having the aim to assist to raising the level of knowledge of the law students in the advocacy sphere, and to promote implementation of serious research activities by the students. The Final Oral Round of the Eighth Republican Conference was held on 6 December 2011. The Conference was organized by the Armenian Young Lawyers Organization NGO in the framework of USAID supported \u201cDevelopment of the AAC National Network\u201d project.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Attaching importance to participation of the youth in establishment of the advocacy institute, in protection of fundamental rights and freedoms of the person and citizen, as well as undertaking preventive measures to curb corruption occurrences in the system of justice, the project foresees organization of regular anticorruption events.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The Conference consists of two rounds: written and oral. 38 students from the law schools of Yerevan and from the regions had applied for participation in the conference. 24 applicants introduced their reports in time. In compliance with the official rules of the conference, the authors of the best 6 reports were authorized to take part in the final, oral round. The participants introduced their papers, which referred to the advocacy institute, the current legislation, as well as revealed the existing shortcomings and omissions. They had carried out comparative analyses of the legislations as well. They suggested their opinions to eliminate those shortcomings. A jury of well-known advocates in composition of Mr. ARA Zohrabyan, Vice President of the Chamber of Advocates of the RA, and advocates, Mr. Tigran Atanesyan and Mrs. Anahit Hakobyan evaluated the best oral reports of the young lawyers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Arpine Ayvazyan, 4th year student of Hrazdan Humanitarian Institute won the prize for the \u201cBest Written Report\u201d of the Scientific Conference for the law students \u201cAdvocacy: Current State and Prospects for Development in the Republic of Armenia\u201d. She was awarded to the second prize of the Conference as well.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Elionora Karapetyan, 3rd year student of Eurasia International University was recognized the third in the oral round.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Hovhannes Abrahamyan, 3rd year student of Hovhannes Tumanyan State Pedagogical University of Vanadzor was awarded the \u201cSpecial Prize\u201d of the scientific conference established by the AYLA President.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Gayane Virabyan, 3rd year student of Yerevan State University was recognized \u201cThe Best Oralist\u201d and the winner of the Competition.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The winners received valuable prizes and corresponding certificates.
