{"id":4404,"date":"2019-06-18T21:59:07","date_gmt":"2019-06-18T17:59:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armla.am\/en\/?p=4404"},"modified":"2019-06-21T22:24:50","modified_gmt":"2019-06-21T18:24:50","slug":"methods-and-stages-of-struggle-against-corruption-the-anti-corruption-school-for-young-leaders-hosted-marat-atovmyan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armla.am\/en\/4404.html","title":{"rendered":"Methods and Stages of Struggle against Corruption:\u00a0The Anti-Corruption School for Young Leaders hosted Marat Atovmyan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify\">During the regular lecture of the <em>Anti-Corruption School for Young Leaders<\/em>, the participants discussed the stages of the fight against corruption and methods of struggle.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Marat Atovmyan, Anti-Corruption Expert, member of the Armenian Lawyers\u2019 Association, presented the\u00a0<strong>three stages of the<\/strong>\u00a0fight against corruption.<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<li><strong>Phase 1 (1989-1995) removal of taboos,\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Phase 2 (1996-2003) adoption of international standards,\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Phase 3 (since 2003) application of international norms at the national level.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">According to Marat Atovmyan, the political will, the improvement of legislation, raising awareness, improvement of the social situation and a number of other factors play an important role in the fight against corruption.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">&#8220;One of the important steps which already has taken place was the criminalization of illicit enrichment, as well as the establishment of the whistleblowing system.\u00a0Protection of the persons reporting through azdarar.am is crucial for institutional reforms, anti-corruption education and the formation of anti-corruption mentality in society,&#8221; the speaker said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Marat Atovmyan also mentioned 7 methods of anti-corruption fight.<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<li>Historical Methods:<\/li>\n<li>Criminal Procedure,<\/li>\n<li>Administrative method,<\/li>\n<li>Civil procedure,<\/li>\n<li>Disciplinary Method:<\/li>\n<li>Internal control,<\/li>\n<li>External \/ public control.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><em>\u201cThe Armenian Lawyers\u2019 Association\u201d NGO is organizing the Anti-Corruption School for Young Leaders in cooperation with the Armenian CSO Anti-Corruption Coalition.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><em><a href=\"https:\/\/iravaban.net\/en\/66162.html\">Iravaban.net<\/a>\u00a0independent information website is the information partner of the Anti-Corruption School for Young Leaders.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>During the regular lecture of the Anti-Corruption School for Young Leaders, the participants discussed the stages of the fight against corruption and methods of struggle.
