The Draft anti-corruption strategy 2019-2022 of Armenia was discussed in the\u00a0pavilion of\u00a01in.am.<\/p>\n

Ms Syuzanna Soghomonyan, Anti-Corruption Expert, Lawyer of the Armenian Lawyers\u2019 Association touched upon the institutional body for the fight against corruption included in the draft.<\/p>\n

According to her, in case of having two separate anti-corruption bodies (preventive and law enforcement) these bodies will not have the status of the constitutional body, therefore, the constitutional guarantees of independence of their activities will not be ensured.\u00a0In the context of the above, it is incomprehensible to form a new anti-corruption policy body.<\/p>\n

  1. Soghomonyan also underlined that the strategy and adoption the anti-corruption model of Armenia should be adopted on the basis of public consensus.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
