On\u00a017-18 April 2019, a\u00a0Government-Civil Society International Expert Conference on the \u201cRA Anti-Corruption Strategy and\u00a0Its\u00a0Envisaged Mechanisms under International Experience\u201d\u00a0<\/strong>will be held in\u00a0Marriott Armenia Hotel,\u00a0Tigran the Great Hall.<\/p>\n

The conference will consist of 6 parts: 1.\u00a0<\/i>Presentation of the RA Anti-Corruption Strategy; 2. Independent Institutional Anti-Corruption\u00a0System; 3. Law Enforcement Activities in Fight against Corruption; 4. Law Enforcement and\u00a0Preventive Activities in Fight against Corruption; 5. Preventive Activities in Fight against Corruption; 6. Anti-Corruption Education; 7. 3 Parallel Break-out Sessions.\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

The Conference is organised by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia, the Armenian Lawyers\u2019 Association and the CSO Anti-Corruption Coalition of Armenia in the framework of the \u201cCommitment to Constructive Dialogue\u201d project supported by the European Union, and in collaboration with United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Centre for International Private Enterprises (CIPE).<\/p>\n

The event will be opened by RA Minister of Justice Artak Zeynalyan, H.E. Piotr Antoni \u015awitalski, the\u00a0Head of the European Union Delegation in the RA, RA Prosecutor General Artur Davtyan, as well as a\u00a0UN Development Programme Representative.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0\u201cCommitment to Constructive Dialogue\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0project is implemented with the financial support of the European Union by a consortium of civil society organizations, which are the \u201cArmenian Lawyers\u2019 Association\u201d NGO, Agora Central Europe o.p.s (an NGO from the Czech Republic), the \u201cArmenian Center for Democratic Education-CIVITAS\u201d NGO, the \u201cInternational Center for Human Development\u201d Public Organization, the \u201cSME Cooperation Association\u201d NGO and the Union of Communities of Armenia.<\/p>\n

The overall objective of the project is to enhance the influence of CSOs and their coalitions (networks) on the public policy process. This will enable the organizations (that already work in target coalitions) to gain new resources, unite civil society experts and encourage them to participate in the formation of local and national policy agenda, identify the common problems and priorities and to apply to the government with constructive and strategic policy initiatives.<\/p>\n

In the scope of the project, sub-grants have been provided to CSOs and CSO coalitions, aiming at public policy development and achieving tangible results in the\u00a09 target sectors:<\/strong>\u00a0justice, human rights, public finance management, business, education, social sector: social inclusion of children with disabilities, agriculture, economy, energy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
