About 120 representatives from six Eastern Partnership countries and a number of European Union countries participated in the event. Karen Zadoyan, President of the Armenian Lawyers\u2019 Association, made a report on &#8220;Anti-Corruption Reforms in Armenia.&#8221; He presented the anti-corruption reforms undertaken by the ALA and the CSO Anti-Corruption Coalition of Armenian, as well as by the Government of Armenia, specifically: the criminalization of illegal enrichment; the creation of an independent anti-corruption body; and introduction of the institute for the protection of whistleblowers\u2019 rights in Armenia. Karen Zadoyan noted that the creation of an independent preventive anti-corruption body does not mean that the reforms in this sphere are completed. \u201cThe CSO Anti-Corruption Coalition of Armenia shall continue to work with the Government to create a single joint body on investigation of corruption crimes in Armenia,\u201d ALA President said in his speech.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Further, Mariam Zadoyan, expert of the CSO Anti-Corruption Coalition of Armenian presented the anti-corruption reforms in business sector, including the introduction of the institute of beneficial owners.
