The proposal of the Armenian Lawyers’ Association and the CSO Anti-Corruption Coalition of Armenia on the introduction of an on-line customs clearance calculator on the website of the State Revenue Committee (SRC) has been fulfilled.
The on-line customs clearance calculator for cars became functional on the official website of the State Revenue Committee on 10 April.
From now on, any person who intends to import a car, can learn in advance the information on necessary payments for importing. Guided by the public interest in the process, within the framework of transparent activities, the SRC makes the process of determining the customs value of cars, making it more public, trustworthy and predictable.
The calculator elaborated by the SRC IT specialists is available on the homepage of petekamutner.am in the e-Services section. The site visitor only needs to enter the car brand, year of production, engine power, and other required data. The automated system will calculate the complete amount showing how much the customs duty, environmental charges, and VAT shall be. This simplified system will allow importers to save time and plan costs.
Notably. this amendment aimed at improving the business environment and reducing corruption risks in this area was submitted to the government the ALA in cooperation CSO Anti-Corruption Coalition of Armenia.
