The Armenian Lawyers Association also fought in 2017 for the promulgation of a law that criminalizes illicit enrichment. The organization is currently working on another project: encouraging citizens to act as informers when they find corruption. “People fear reprisals. We will set up an internet platform that will allow to denounce facts anonymously. The IP address of the informant will be changed so that it cannot be identified,” says Marat Atovmyan, a lawyer in Yerevan and a member of the association. The site should be online next July. One more step towards the independence of justice.
