“Citizen of the Year” is known

December 9th is the International Anti-Corruption Day. Ms Armenuhi Arakelyan was awarded the annual award “Citizen of the Year.” Mr. Hrayr Tovmasyan, the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia handed the award, which was established by the National Network of Anti-Corruption Centers and the “Armenia Against Corruption” Movement, to Armenuhi Arakelyan’s husband.

In 2013, with the support of Yerevan ACC, Armenuhi Arakelyan managed to restore her infringed rights recognizing the importance of protection of her rights, and showed adherence to principles.

“We have written in our Constitution that ‘the human being, his or her dignity, fundamental rights and freedoms are the highest values’ and everyone’s major mission, whoever it is; the minister of justice, or any committee, is to serve to the people and to solve their problems,” Hrayr Tovmasyan said.

Mr. Hracya Avetisyan in his speech mentioned that Yerevan ACC had a great contribution in their victory and urged all citizens to stand for their rights.
