Karen ZadoyanPresident

Karen Zadoyan is the President of Armenian Lawyers’ Association
He was elected the President of the organization at the Special Session of the General Assembly on Board on 30 April 2020, for the term of 4 years. Karen Zadoyan governs the work of the Organization in the period between the sessions of the Board and the General Assembly; drafts and conducts the management of major projects implemented by the organization. His 21-year work experience includes public administration, human rights, anti-corruption and professional spheres.
Karen Zadoyan is the author of the idea of creating and the founder of Iravaban.net independent professional media.
He is a member of the Professional Committee on Constitutional Reforms established by the decision of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia since January 2020.
He graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Yerevan State University. He is a member of the Chamber of Advocates of Armenia.

Arpine YeghikyanBoard secretary

Arpine Yeghikyan was elected a member of the ALA Board at the Special Session of the General Assembly on Board on 30 April 2020, for the term of 4 years.
Arpine Yeghikyan has 11 years of professional experience, which includes advocacy activities; work in commercial and non-governmental organizations. She acted as an expert, conducted legal monitoring and evaluation in a number of projects. She has an organizational and training experience.
She graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Yerevan State University, Yerevan State University and the Public Administration Academy of the RA. Mrs. Yeghikyan is member of the Chamber of Advocates of the Republic of Armenia.

Marat AtovmyanBoard member

Marat Atovmyan was elected a member of the ALA Board at the Special Session of the General Assembly on Board on 30 April 2020, for the term of 4 years.
Mr. Atovmyan coordinates the work of Yerevan Anti-Corruption Center operated by the ALA. Has 20 years of professional experience. He worked in the state, international and non-governmental organizations. He worked as an expert in various international programs. He has delivered numerous lectures on human rights, integrity, good governance and anti-corruption issues in Armenia and abroad. He is member of the Chamber of Advocates of the Republic of Armenia; member of the Group of Independent Experts on the European Charter of Local Self-Government; and Board member of the Swiss Alumni Association.

Zaruhi HarutyunyanBoard member

Zaruhi Harutyunyan was elected a member of the ALA Board at the Special Session of the General Assembly on 30 April, 2020. She has 12 years of work experience. Zaruhi has worked in the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia, in the Public Services Regulatory Commission of the Republic of Armenia, in the “Armenia Against Corruption” project launched by the ALA, as well as in different law offices.

She has 8 years of teaching experience, within the framework of which she trained the employees of state bodies under various programs implemented by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia, the Academy of Public Administration of the Republic of Armenia, the World Bank, the European Union and the Council of Europe.

Author of a number of scientific articles.

Zaruhi Harutyunyan graduated from Yerevan State University (YSU), Faculty of Law, further received postgraduate education at the same University, majoring in Psychology, and received a master’s degree from YSU Faculty of International Relations.

Karen KocharyanBoard member

Karen Kocharyan was elected a member of the ALA Board at the Special Session of the General Assembly on 1Board on 30 April 2020, for the term of 4 years.
He has 8 years of professional experience of which 6 years in the sphere of advocacy. He held senior executive positions in commercial and non-governmental organizations. He worked as an expert in a number of projects; conducted monitoring and evaluation.
He graduated from the Faculty of Law of Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) University. He is member of the Chamber of Advocates of the Republic of Armenia.

Artak SaribekyanExecutive Director

Artak Saribekyan is the Executive Director of the Armenian Lawyers’ Association.
He is member of the organization since its establishment. He was appointed as the Executive Director of ALA on the order of the organization’s President in 2004. Artak Saribekyan coordinates the daily work of the organization. He graduated from the Faculty of Informatics and Applied Mathematics of the Yerevan State University.

Gayane Gevorgyan

Gayane Gevorgyan has been the coordinator of the Shirak Regional Branch of the Armenian Lawyers’ Association since December 2007.

Graduated from the Law Faculty of Yerevan University of Management. She is a member of the Chamber of Advocates of the RA.

Gayane Gevorgyan has 13 years of legal experience, 6 years of which she is a lawyer. She taught at Yerevan University of Management, Haybusak University and Progress University of Gyumri.

Alisa Chilingaryan

Alisa Chilingaryan is the editor of the independent, specialized news site Iravaban.net. She has been working on the site since 2016.

Prior to that, she worked at the “Post Scriptum” Press Club, was a correspondent with various media outlets, and worked with advertising companies.

In 2017-2019 she was the Media Campaigns Specialist of the “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” project funded by the European Union.

Yevgenia Hambardzumyan

Yevgenia Hambardzumyan is a journalist at the Iravaba.net news website launched by the Armenian Lawyers’ Association. She is a graduate of Yerevan State University, Faculty of Journalism.
Covers legal and social spheres, litigation, addresses issues of the judiciary.
She was a student of the 4th stream of the Anti-Corruption School for Young Leaders. The theme of her final work was: “The Institute for Criminal Liability of Legal Entities in Armenia and the Implementation of Anti-Corruption Compliance Programs in the Private Sector”.
