CSO Anti-Corruption Coalition of Armenia participated in Presentation of New Anti-Corruption Proposals related to Armenia

A plenary session of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Eastern Europe and Central Asia Anti-Corruption Network took place in Paris, France, on July 3-5. The meeting was attended by representatives of the state system, specialized international organisations and civil society responsible for anti-corruption in Eastern Europe and Central Asia.

The Armenian delegation included: Deputy Minister of Justice Suren Krmoyan and Head of Anti-Corruption Policy Development Department Mariam Galstyan, Chairperson of the Commission on Ethics of High-Ranking Officials of Armenia Siranush Sahakyan, Deputy Minister of Education and Science Arevik Anapiosyan, Deputy Prosecutor General David Melkonyan, Mariam Zadoyan, an expert of the Armenian Lawyers Association – Secretariat of the CSO Anti-Corruption Coalition of Armenia and Eastern Partnership Civil Society Fellow.

Monitoring of the anti-corruption reforms of these countries to which Armenia has joined since 2006, is being implemented within the framework of the ACN.

Three phases of Armenia’s monitoring have been implemented until now, and the agenda of the plenary session, the discussion and adoption of the fourth stage of Armenia’s monitoring report which will be published in 2018 was among other issues. It should be noted that progress reports are also published during each monitoring cycle.

In order to prepare the report, the OECD monitoring group visited Armenia on March 12-18, during which discussions were held with the RA state bodies and civil society representatives, including three thematic discussions with representatives of CSO Anti-Corruption Coalition in general, in business and education sectors.
