Possibility of introducing Anti-Corruption Compliance in Armenia as a Tool for Reducing Corruption Risks in the Business Sector

On 19 June, 2018, the Corporate Governance Center and the Armenian Institute of Directors, in cooperation with the Center for International Private Enterprise, organized an “Anti-Corruption Compliance: Roundtable on “Challenges for Business”.

Susanna Soghomonyan, an anti-corruption expert, Board Member of the Armenian Lawyers’ Association NGO, made a report “The Role of Anti-Corruption Compliance in Armenia as a Tool to Reduce Corruption Risks in the Business Sector”. Within the framework of the report, Syuzanna Soghomonyan also touched upon the international experience of the compliance of anti-corruption programs, its necessity and the possibility of its introduction in Armenia.

The anti-corruption reforms implemented in Armenia in recent years as a result of the initiatives of the CSO Anti-Corruption Coalition of Armenia were also discussed at the roundtable.

The presentation of the Guide “Anti-Corruption Compliance for Medium Enterprises in Transition Markets” of the Center for International Private Enterprise translated into Armenian language by the Corporate Governance Center took place as well.
