Proposal to place an On-Line Custom Calculator for Cars on the SRC Website has been accepted.

The proposal of the Armenian Lawyers’ Association and the CSO Anti-Corruption Coalition of Armenia on the introduction of an on-line customs clearance calculator on the website of the State Revenue Committee (SRC) has been accepted. Today, Samvel Avetikyan, the First Deputy Chairman of the State Revenue Committee, said that in the nearest future, this information will be available to citizens.

Susanne Soghomonyan, an expert on Anti Corruption Issues in State Revenue Collection sector presented this recommendation of the ALA and the CSO Anti-Corruption Coalition of Armenia aimed at the improvement of business environment and reduction of the corruption risks at the session of the Anti-Corruption Council.

“Over the past year, an anti-corruption strategy action plan in the sector of the State Revenue Collection has been elaborated. We have envisaged introduction of an on-line customs clearance calculator on the CRS website as a basic reform, which will allow the person prior to transportation of their vehicles, to determine independently the customs duties and taxes of vehicles transported to the customs border of the Republic of Armenia. These values will be tentative. It is pleasant that the regular system reform recommendation of the ALA and Coalitions is accepted. We hope this reform will ease the burden of citizens on the customs border,” Susanna Soghomonyan said.
